Hi. Is the mercantile a bakery with a,few nuts and fruit, or could,one resupply (grocery shop) for a week's worth of hiking? And if yes, are we talking Ramen noodles or is there choice for a health-conscious hiker?
They have a pretty well stocked store. It will be pricey, and not as many choices as a regular grocery store, but nevertheless, they do have quite a bit of supplies.
I heard canoeing on Lake Bowman is beautiful. Is there a place we can rent canoes near Bowman Lake for the day? Thanks!
Glacier raft company or Great Northern Rafting are probably your best bet. You are probably going to want to have a high clearance utility vehicle to get the canoes to Bowman. It's about an hour drive from those places (in West Glacier) to Bowman.
